Walter Lindrum on video

Walter Lindrum, the champion billiards player, was born in Kalgoorlie in Western Australia in 1898. He was the son of Frederick Lindrum, another billiards great, and Harriet Mary Atkin, both from Adelaide. His grandmother, Mary Ann Atkin (nee Mason) was the sister of my great great grandmother, Susan Mason

I recently came across this video about him. It looks as if it was made in the 1970s and the sound is rather wobbly in places. It focuses mainly on Walter's career as a billiards player, but it has some interesting snippets about his personal life.

(Ignore the screen at the beginning that says 'Sorry there's a problem with this part of the video'. It continues after that.)

  2. Thanks Chris. Not many claims to fame in my family, unless you count appearances in the police courts, so I have to make the most of Walter :-)
